What Is the Current Situation?
Polio is a serious disease that can cause paralysis and death. If you are going to one of the countries listed below, CDC recommends that you make sure you are up to date on your polio vaccine. If your vaccine is not up to date, you will need to get vaccinated.

Comment:While most Indians have taken Polio drops as children, it is recommended that a single Injectable Polio vaccine be taken by even people who have taken Polio drops as a child, since the immunity may not remain during adulthood, and a single dose will give life long protection against Polio.
