The International Society of Travel Medicine
ISTM is committed to the promotion of healthy and safe travel. In cooperation with health care providers, academic centers, the travel industry and the media, ISTM advocates and facilitates education, service, and research activities in the field of travel medicine. This includes: preventive and curative medicine within many specialties such as tropical medicine, infectious diseases, high altitude physiology, travel related obstetrics, psychiatry, occupational health, military and migration medicine, and environmental health.
The American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene
ASTMH founded in 1903, is a worldwide organization of scientists, clinicians, and program professionals whose mission is to promote global health through the prevention and control of infectious and other diseases that disproportionately afflict the global poor. Research, health care and education are the central activities of ASTMH members, whose work bridges basic laboratory research to international field work and clinics to countrywide programs.

BGTHA is the second largest national travel health association in the world. Our members include nurses, doctors, pharmacists and those working in the travel and pharmaceutical industries, and we extend a warm welcome to new members from those and any other professions concerned with the health of international travellers.
International Association for Medical Assistance to Travellers
Our mission is to provide information to travellers on vaccinations, health risks, and food and water safety advice for all countries. To help you stay healthy abroad, we coordinate an international network of qualified doctors and mental health practitioners committed to providing the highest standards of medical care to travellers. IAMAT also award scholarships and grants to doctors and nurses from low income countries to study, research, and train in travel medicine.
