Question: My child is going to Canada for higher education, what vaccinations are needed??
Answer: In addition to completing the ‘routine’ vaccinations as per Indian schedule, you need to check for the following vaccinations when a student goes to Canada from India for higer studies.
1. Meningitis Vaccine (MCV 4 – Menactra)
2. Flu (Influenza) Vaccine – Yearly vaccine needed
3. Tdap Booster – Once every 10 years
4. Hepatitis B Vaccine – generally given to all children in India during childhood

Please contact your travel health doctor at least 4-8 weeks before traveling to make sure that you are up to date with all your health requirements. After spending so much effort & money on your child’s future, you do not want them to fall ill in a foreign country due to a serious disease that can affect their career permanently!
