THE Ministry of Health has completed the yellow risk assessment survey in Western and North-Western provinces.
The survey was carried out to determine whether people going into the two areas should be vaccinated against yellow fever or not.
Permanent Secretary Peter Mwaba confirmed this development in an interview yesterday. He said data from the survey was taken to the laboratory and that external validation had already been done.
“We are done with the yellow fever assessment survey in Western and North-Western provinces and we are now waiting for the results which will be ready in September this year,” he said.
The survey started in May this year and was being carried out by trained professionals who would review the vaccination policies in light of the yellow fever designation.
